Move over, dry cleaners

My blog has moved! I'm now at Come visit for the latest stuff.

This is part of the research a group of scientists at Clemson University are doing, using the properties of the lotus leaf and nanotechnology to develop a water and dirt repellant material.

Due to the placement of nanobumps in the fabric, the water can't penetrate and takes dirt with it. All you have to do is take a shower with your suit, and voilĂ . You're ready for the next day. What the article doesn't say is how it would work with sweat and the acids from the skin or even the acids in the rain (shades of Blade Runner).

Ah, well. Perfection, Earth is not thy province...
